William Eugene “Bill” Robinson, age 77 of Greencastle, PA died at 9:00 AM Tuesday, October 4, 2016 in his home following an extended illness. Born February 25, 1939 in Hagerstown, MD, he was the son of the late Glenn E. and Dorothy J. (Swank) Robinson. He married Beverly J. (Sites) Robinson on June 5, 1965.

Bill was employed for 57 years at the former Antrim Building and Farm Supply of Greencastle as a cabinet maker and woodworker. He was a member of the Grace Bible Church of Greencastle, life member of the Rescue Hose Co. #1 of Greencastle, member of the Frank L. Carbaugh American Legion Post #373 and Harry D. Zeigler V.F.W. Post #6319, both of Greencastle. Bill was one of the original members of the Silver Star Saddle Club of Greencastle.

His interests and hobbies included wood working, horses, traveling and gardening. Bill was a 1956 graduate of Greencastle High School. He served several years in the Pennsylvania National Guard and the Army Reserves.

Surviving family in addition to his wife of 51years are two sisters, Carolyn Bricker and husband Clyde of Mercersburg, Cindy Oberholzer and husband Vaughn of Greencastle, two brothers, Barry Robinson and wife Norma of Greencastle, Jeffrey Robinson and wife Kim of Greencastle and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Monday October 10 at 11:00 AM at the Grace Bible Church 2327 Hoffman Rd. Greencastle with Pastors Herm Fisler, Dave Mummert and Phillip Macdonald officiating. Burial will be in the Cedar Hill Cemetery Greencastle. There will be no public viewing but the family will receive friends on Sunday afternoon from 2:00-4:00 PM at the Harold M. Zimmerman And Son Funeral Home 45 S. Carlisle St. Greencastle and at the church one hour before the service on Monday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given in his memory to the Grace Bible Church 2327 Hoffman Rd. Greencastle, PA 17225 or to SpiriTrust Lutheran Home Care and Hospice 2700 Luther Dr.  Chambersburg, PA 17202. Online condolences may be expressed to the family at www.zimmermanfh.com
