Vivian Scull Obituary

Vivian C. Scull, 102, of Greencastle, passed away on Friday, March 1, 2024 at Heritage Retirement Community. Born December 26, 1921 in Lancaster, PA, she was the daughter of the late Claude I. Coffey, Sr. and Ida A. Evans Coffey. Her beloved husband, Bruce B. Scull, preceded her in death on November 26, 1999. She is survived by her nephew, William Donaldson (wife Mary) of Mercersburg. In addition to her parents and husband, Vivian was preceded in death by her sister, Helen I. Donaldson and her brother, Claude I. Coffey, Jr.

Vivian was a graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School. She earned a degree in education from James Ormand Teacher’s College and was employed as an elementary teacher in Washington DC for many years. Vivian was a member of the Washington City Church of the Brethren and later the Greencastle Church of the Brethren.

Services and interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are entrusted to the Harold M. Zimmerman and Son funeral Home, Inc., Greencastle, PA. Condolences may be offered at zimmermanfh.com
