Timothy L. Martin

Timothy L. Martin, 56, of Greencastle, PA, passed away Wednesday afternoon, September 14, 2022 at his home.  Born November 2, 1965 in Chambersburg, he was a son of Linda Hurley Martin of Greencastle and the late Larry E. Martin.  Tim was a 1982 graduate of the Greencastle-Antrim Senior High School.  He was employed at Antrim Way Honda for thirteen years; Foremost Industries for nine years; and for the past six years worked alongside his wife buying and selling antiques.  He was a member of American Legion Post 512 and Mercersburg Moose Lodge #1790, both in Mercersburg, PA.  Tim was an avid Penn State Fan and enjoyed riding his motorcycle and spending time with his friends.  He was a recipient of a heart transplant in 2015.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Barbara A. Carbaugh Martin, whom he married on September 3, 1989; two brothers, Scott Martin and wife Jennifer of Greencastle, and Randy Martin of Florida; and his mother-in-law, Paula Faye Lenherr Carbaugh of Greencastle.

A service to celebrate Tim’s life will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 17, 2022 at the Harold M. Zimmerman and Son Funeral Home, 45 South Carlisle Street, Greencastle, PA.  The family will receive friends from 9:00 AM until the service begins at 11:00 AM.  Interment will be private.  Those attending are requested to wear blue and white to support Tim’s beloved Penn State team.
