Obituary

Stephen W. “Steve” Clay age 75, of Greencastle, PA, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 6, 2022, at the Chambersburg Hospital. Born June 28, 1946, in Charleston, WV, he was the son of the late Thomas Edward and Virginia Ruth Taylor Clay.

Steve was a 1964 graduate of DuPont High School in West Virginia. He lastly worked at Contech Engineered Solutions for 30 years prior to his retirement. Most recently Steve enjoyed watching sports, tinkering with electronics and spending time with his grandsons.

Surviving is his wife, Pamela Houpt Clay of Greencastle, PA, two sons, Chad Clay and Eric Clay both of Greencastle, PA, two grandsons, Quin Clay and Kirin Clay of Greencastle, PA and two siblings, Michael Clay of Camp Hill, PA and Debbie Walton of Charleston, WV.

A Memorial service will be held on  Saturday, April 30, 2022, at the First Assembly of God Church, 525 Leitersburg St., Greencastle, PA 17225 at 12PM.  There will be a service for Steve in the Church and a meal to follow in the Church’s Ministry Center.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in his name to the First Assembly of God Church, 525 Leitersburg St., Greencastle, PA 17225.
