Ruth Naomi Mummart

Ruth Naomi Mummart, 89, of Greencastle, passed away on Wednesday, March 16, 2022 at her home. Born January 13, 1933 in Greencastle, she was a daughter of the late Minor Earl and Helen Virginia Rice Myers. Her beloved husband, Ned Franklin Mummart, preceded her in death on December 28, 1994.

Ruth was employed as Produce Manager at Rocky Ridge Farm Market in State Line for many years. She then worked as an in-home caregiver until her retirement. She was a very active member of Broadfording Bible Brethren Church in Hagerstown, MD. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, cooking and baking, serving the Lord, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by two daughters, Gail Fritz (Donald, Sr.), and Lisa Haldeman (Bruce), both of Greencastle; four grandsons, Kevin Haldeman, Ryan Haldeman, Justin Haldeman and Donnie Fritz, Jr. (Megan Hess); three great grandchildren, Axel Fritz, and Aubree and Addie Hess; and many special nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Ruth was preceded in death by an infant daughter; and two sisters, Hazel Myers and Gladys Sharon.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 26, 2022 at Broadfording Bible Brethren Church, 13523 Broadfording Church Road, Hagerstown, MD 21740. Pastor Bill Wyand will officiate. Interment will follow in the adjoining church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, March 25, 2022 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at the Harold M. Zimmerman and Son Funeral Home, Inc. 45 S. Carlisle Street, Greencastle, PA 17225 and one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the church.
