Roy Lehman Shank Jr., 89, of Greencastle PA passed away peacefully at the Chambersburg Hospital on August 29, 2022.

He was born on November 4, 1932, in Chambersburg PA to the late Roy and Anna (Brewbaker) Shank.

Roy graduated from Greencastle-Antrim High School.  He married Donna (Johnston) Shank on July 16, 1950, and they celebrated their 72nd wedding anniversary in July.  He worked at Teledyne Machine Co. and retired in 1994.

Roy was a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Greencastle, the Franklin County Snowmobile Club, and enjoyed summer weekends boating on the Potomac River.

Besides his wife Donna, Roy is survived by his son, Sam Shank (Yong) of Chambersburg PA, and daughter, Sharon Samuels (Jim) of Greencastle PA; and brother-in-law, Bob Johnston (Jeannie).

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 3, 2022, at 11 AM in the Harold M. Zimmerman and Son Funeral Home, Inc., 45 S. Carlisle St., Greencastle PA where Rev. Martin Horn will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the funeral home for viewing. Interment will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Greencastle PA, immediately following the service.
