Rosanna M. (Negley) Burkholder

Rosanna Marie (Negley) Burkholder, age 67 of Chambersburg, PA was received into heaven Sunday afternoon, May 16, 2021 in her home.

Born April 26,1954 in Waynesboro, PA, she was the daughter of Betty Jane (Forsythe) Negley of Menno Haven, Chambersburg and the late Paul E. Negley. She married her husband, Isaac R. Burkholder, on December 4, 1976.

Rosanna was a RN, BSN, working 20 years at the Summit (now Wellspan) Surgery Center of Chambersburg and also at the Waynesboro Hospital. She was a 1972 graduate of James Buchanan High School and received her Nursing degree from Saint Joseph’s Hospital School of Nursing in 1975 and her BS degree in Nursing from Eastern Mennonite University in 2006.

Rosanna was a member of the Cedar Street Mennonite Church, Chambersburg. Her life was dedicated to serving Christ and others. Alongside her husband, Rosanna served in missions while in Honduras, Costa Rica, and Venezuela.

Surviving family in addition to her mother and husband are two sons, Nathaniel R. Burkholder of Chambersburg, Stephen Burkholder of Reading, PA; one sister, Katrina Negley of Spotsylvania, VA, and a brother, Shannon Negley of Lewiston, ME. Her family praises God for the gift of her life.

She was preceded in death by her father and an infant son, Andrew Burkholder.

A private graveside service will be held at the Marion Mennonite Church with Pastor Mike Shank officiating. A memorial service will be announced at a later date. There will no viewing. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Kristalaya Mercy Mission and sent to PO Box 142, Maugansville, MD 21767.
