Robert A. "Buck" Weller Sr.

Robert A. “Buck” Weller Sr., age 81 of Greencastle, PA died Thursday evening January 21, 2021 in his home.

Born May 23, 1939 in Hancock, MD, he was the son of the late Foster and Esther (Walker) Weller. He married his wife Joan M. (Young) Weller on January 27, 1957. She died on May 31, 2015.

He worked in construction, working for H.J. Williams Construction Co. of York, PA. Buck served in the US Army and was a member of the Greencastle V.F.W. and Greencastle American Legion. His hobbies included fishing, hunting and sitting on his front porch.

Surviving family are three daughters, Laura Keefer of Fannettsburg, PA, Grace Raifsnider and husband Donald of Greencastle, Pauline Ritchey and husband Roger of Rehoboth Beach, DE; two sons, Robert Weller Jr. of St. Thomas, PA, Joe Weller and wife Tammy of Greencastle; one brother Theodore Weller of McConnellsburg, PA; two sisters, Linda Thomas of Shippensburg, PA, Susan Mellott of Bedford County, PA; ten grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 26 at 2:00 PM at the Antrim Brethren In Christ Church Family Life Center, 25 East Kauffman Road Chambersburg with Pastor Casey Hurst officiating. Burial will be in the Shanks Church Cemetery near Greencastle. The family will receive friends at the church on Tuesday from 12 Noon – 2:00 PM.
