Patty 'Pat' Ann (Jay) Zarger

Patty “Pat” Ann Zarger, age 64, of Greencastle, PA, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 6, 2021, with family by her side.

She had a kindness that extended to all she knew and treated her children’s friends like kids of her own. Pat genuinely enjoyed being “Mom” and “Nanny” to many. She was also an avid reader and was well known for her witty remarks like, “bite me.”

With love and fond memories, Pat is survived by her husband, Lon E. Zarger of 20 years; eight children, William Wright (Mindy) of Greencastle, PA, Tawnya Arreaga (Victor) of Chambersburg, PA, Roberta Bumbaugh (Shane) of Fayetteville, PA, Heather Thomas (Derrick) of Fayetteville, NC, Quentin Wright (Krystle) of Chambersburg, PA, Rusty Zarger (Teresa) of Greensboro, NC, Chad Zarger (Dawn) of Waynesboro, PA, and Tina Angelini (Mario) of State Line, PA; a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and two siblings, Cheryl Paul (Michael) of NJ and Roberta Barajas of CA. In addition to her late parents, Robert Clyde and Ruth Woods Jay, she was preceded in death by her sister, Diane Sheridan.
