Nancy Jane Winters

Nancy “Jane” Winters, age 75 of Greencastle, PA, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, January 3, 2022, at her daughter’s home in Greencastle, PA.  Born January 16, 1946, in Waynesboro, PA, she was the daughter of the late Daniel A. and Evelyn Diehl Baer.

Jane was a 1964 graduate of Waynesboro Area Senior high School. She went on to work as an Accounting Supervisor at the former Regency Thermographers, where she later retired. Jane was a member of Stone Bridge Church of the Brethren, where she served as a Sunday School teacher for many years. She enjoyed gardening, reading, beach trips, watching the Green Bay Packers, and she cherished time with her family.

Surviving are two daughters, Holly R. McNamee (husband Chad) of Greencastle, PA and Melissa A. Rand (husband John) of Warfordsburg, PA; four grandchildren, Ryan Wishard, Brooke Wishard (fiancé Jon Harp), Kristen Boggs (husband Chris), and Ethan McNamee; two siblings, Joe R. Baer (wife Martha) and Bernice “Sissy” Berger; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne A. Winters on December 23, 2020, three brothers, and one sister.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 11, 2022, at 11 AM at Hollowell Church, 14807 Hollowell Church Rd., Waynesboro, PA 17268, where Pastor Joe R. Baer will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the church at the above address. Interment will follow in Antietam Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to Camp Joy EL, 3741 Joy El Dr., Greencastle, PA 17225 or to Mt. Hope Prison Ministry, 25 Summit Ave., Hagerstown, MD 21740. Arrangements are entrusted to the Harold M. Zimmerman and Son Funeral Home, Inc., Greencastle, PA.
