Obituary

Mary D. Kerlin, 86, of Chambersburg and formerly of Greencastle, passed away on Friday, February 3, 2023 at Laurel Lakes Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born May 24, 1936 in Mercersburg, PA, she was a daughter of the late Clarence Henry and Mary Elizabeth Robinson Breneman. Her beloved husband, Kenneth Kerlin, preceded her in death.

Early in her life, Mary was employed at the Stanley Co. in Chambersburg and later at Greencastle Ice and Cold Storage. Most of her life was dedicated to making a home for her family.

She is survived by one sister, Geneva Mace of Waynesboro; one grandson, Christopher Pebble; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Mary was preceded in death by her daughter, Barbara Norris; and three siblings, Clarence Breneman, Jr., Wanda Jean “Harvey” Breneman, and  Cornelia Breneman.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, February 8, 2023 at Parklawns Memorial Gardens. Rev. Dr. A. Robert Cook will officiate. Arrangements are entrusted to the Harold M. Zimmerman and Son Funeral Home, Greencastle, PA.
