Mary Jane (Anna) Guzic

Mary Jane Guzic, 82, of Greencastle, PA, passed away Thursday afternoon, January 20, 2022 at her home.  Born September 8, 1939 in Cresson, PA, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Mary Lilly Anna.  She was a 1957 graduate of Central Cambria High School.  A homemaker most of her life, she had served for a number of years as Parish secretary at St. Mark’s Catholic Church in Greencastle where she had been an active member.  She enjoyed spending time with her family and especially enjoyed making rosaries.

She is survived by her husband, Stanley J. Guzic, whom she married August 3, 1963; son Richard Guzic and wife Roxanne of Greencastle; daughter Marie Guzic Truax and husband Blaine of Chambersburg; brother Chuck Anna of Downey, CA; sister Isabel Buynack and husband Pat of Ebensburg, PA; and many nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents, whe was preceded in death by four brothers, Coleman Anna and his wife Ann, Robert Anna, Lawrence Anna, and John Anna; as well as a sister-in-law, Nancy Anna.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Father Walter Guzmán at 11:00 AM Saturday, January 22, 2022 at St. Mark’s Catholic Church, Greencastle, PA.  There will be no public viewing.  Private interment will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery.

The family wishes to extend their thanks to the nurses and staff at Fresenius Kidney Care in Chambersburg who provided excellent care to Mary Jane for the past 4 ½ years.
