Marilyn R. (Hartman) Mummart

Marilyn R. Mummart, age 69, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away unexpectedly and went home to be with the Lord on Friday, April 7, 2023, at her home. Born in Waynesboro, PA, on April 18, 1953, she was the daughter of the late Ray and Thelma Lesher Hartman.  

Marilyn was a 1971 graduate of the Greencastle-Antrim Senior High School. She was a homemaker most of her adult life. Marilyn attended Antrim Brethren in Christ church, where she participated in the Women’s Ministry. She enjoyed sewing, playing cards, and puzzles. Marilyn was a two time cancer survivor, to include beating breast cancer.

Surviving is her husband of 49 years, Jeffrey L. Mummart, whom she married on November 3, 1973, two daughters, Heather R. Walck (Eric) of Chambersburg, PA and Cassy L. Lawson (Benjamin) of Chambersburg, PA, two sisters, Lois Dourte and Anna Kauffman, and a niece, Becky Henderickson (John) and Nephew, Nelson Kauffman (Lori).

Funeral services will be held on Friday, Aril 14, 2023, at 11 AM at Antrim Brethren in Christ Church, 24 Kauffman Rd. East, Chambersburg, PA, where Pastor Casey Hurst will officiate. The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 13, 2023, from 7 -9 PM in the Harold M. Zimmerman and Son Funeral Home, Inc., 45 S. Carlisle St., Greencastle, PA and one hour prior to the service at the above church and address. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Antrim Women’s Ministry, 24 Kauffman Rd. East, Chambersburg, PA 17202
