Marian I. (Keener) Martin

Marian Irene (Keener) Martin, age 86, a resident of Brookview Health Care Center of Menno Haven in Chambersburg, PA and formerly of Greencastle died Tuesday morning June 23, 2020 in the Health Care Center.

Born November 18, 1933 in Shippensburg, PA, she was the daughter of the late Paul Edgar and Anna C. (Horst) Keener. She married her husband Nevin L. Martin Sr. on January 1, 1957. He died on March 24, 1998.

She was the owner of the former Marians Fabric Shop in Greencastle. In her earlier years, she helped her husband on the family farm. Marian was a member of the Salem Ridge Community Church where she served on the sewing circle and helped with Bible School. She also was a member of the Menno Haven Auxiliary. Marian attended Shippensburg High School.

Surviving family are three daughters, Crystal Renee Hulock and husband Joseph of Mount Joy, PA, Lisa Marie Naugle and husband Steve of Waynesboro, PA, Melanie Ann Matthews of Greencastle; two sons, Nevin L. Martin Jr. and wife Carla of Goshen, Indiana, Dale Lynn Martin and wife Melinda of Chambersburg, PA, ten grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, two brothers, Clarence Keener of Camp Hill, PA, D. Mark Keener of Shippensburg, PA and one sister Esther M. Witmer of Morgantown, WV.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, John E. Keener, Ivan S. Keener and Paul A. Keener.

A private graveside service will be held at the Salem Ridge Community Church Cemetery near Greencastle with Pastor Joe Martin officiating. There will be no viewing. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may given to Salem Ridge Community Church 441 Pensinger Rd. Greencastle, PA 17225. . Arrangements were by the Harold M.
