Karen K. Peiffer

Karen K. Peiffer, age 62 of Mercersburg, PA  died Friday, August 14, 2020 in her home following an extended illness.

Born September 7, 1957 in Chambersburg, PA, she was the daughter of the late Brooks and Ruby (Hart) Thatcher. She married her husband Curtis L. Peiffer in 1977.

Karen was a nurse’s aide at the former Franklin County Nursing Home in Chambersburg for nearly 20 years. She was a member of the Macedonia United Brethren Church near Greencastle and enjoyed being outdoors. Karen was a 1976 graduate of Fannett-Metal High School.

Surviving family in addition to her husband are two sisters Janet Spidel of West Virginia, Sue Harrick of Ft. Loudon, PA; three brothers Brooks Thatcher Jr. of Mercersburg, PA, James Thatcher and John Thatcher, both of Spring, Run, PA.

A graveside funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 18 at 11:00 AM at the Macedonia Church Cemetery near Greencastle with Rev. Gayle Ruble Sr. officiating. There will be no viewing.
