June E. (Johnson) Miller

It is with great sadness that the family of June E. (Johnson) Miller announces her passing after a long illness.  She will be greatly missed and forever remembered by her family and loved ones.  Born July 30, 1940 in Greencastle, PA she was the daughter of the late Calvin D. and Bertha E. (Atherton) Johnson. 

She was a graduate of Greencastle High School.  June was a selfless, devoted, and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.  June spent her life putting her family above everything else.  She was a kind and caring woman who always had a way of bringing peace and comfort to everyone that knew her.  June was a true example of God’s love, patience and selflessness. 

June is survived by four children, Shirley Gartzke and her husband Ken of Carlisle, PA, Tammy Miller of Hagerstown, MD, Julie Sites of Greencastle, PA and Doug Miller and his wife Connie of Mercersburg, PA; eight grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; and brother, Richard Johnson of Greencastle, PA.  In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Charles R. Miller who passed away August 2001 and a son, Russell Miller who passed away January 16, 2022.

Services will be held 10:00 AM, Tuesday, July 26, 2022 in the Harold M. Zimmerman and Son Funeral Home, Inc., 45 S. Carlisle St., Greencastle, PA with Rev. Dr. A. Robert Cook officiating.  Burial will follow in Parklawns Memorial Gardens, Chambersburg, PA.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services Tuesday morning in the funeral home.
