John David Anderson

John D. Anderson, age 76, of Upton, PA passed away on Monday, August 29, 2022, at Laurel Lakes Rehab Center in Chambersburg, PA. Born in Waynesboro, PA on July 25, 1946, he was the son of the late John M. and Kathryn D. Anderson.

John was a talented musician. He played the violin in the school orchestra. He enjoyed making people laugh and loved to cook. He was a 1965 graduate of the James Buchanan High School. He had worked at Agway and for Myers’ feed mill in the past and then cared for his parents in their later years while he had a small lawn mower repair business.

John is survived by two sisters, Margaret Lancaster of Tampa, FL and Nancy McKee (George) of Waynesboro, PA, two nieces and two nephews, six grand nieces, and one great-grandnephew.

Services and interment in Fairview Cemetery in Mercersburg, PA will be private. Arrangements are entrusted to the Harold M. Zimmerman and Son Funeral Home, Inc., Greencastle, PA.
