John E. Angle

John E. Angle, age 90, of Greencastle, PA passed away  on Friday evening, April 30, 2021 in the Meritus Medical Center in Hagerstown, MD.

Born January 20, 1931 near Welsh Run, PA, he was the son of the late H. Raymond and Nellie V. (Shinham) Angle. He married his wife Vivian L. (Myers) Angle on August 31, 1953.

John had worked for Central Chemical Co. and last at Soliday Oil, both of Hagerstown. He was a US Army veteran of the Korean War. He attended the Christian Life Assembly of God Church of Chambersburg. He loved spending time with his family and his grandchildren.

Surviving family in addition to his wife of 67 years are two daughters, Pam Barnett and husband Steve of Chambersburg and Denise Braun of State Line, PA; four grandchildren, John and his wife Savannah, Jordan, James, Stephanie;  one brother Charles L. Angle of Smithsburg, MD; two sisters, Dorothy J. Mills of Chambersburg and  Eleanor L. Miller of Mercersburg.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter Robin Angle, three brothers, Donald E. Angle, Harold R. Angle and Kenneth R. Angle.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, May 7 at 2:00 PM at the Christian Life Assembly of God Church 1400 Warm Spring Rd. Chambersburg with Pastor Joe Pickens officiating.  There will be no viewing. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in  the Broadfording Church Cemetery in Hagerstown. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Christian Life Assembly of God Church 1400 Warm Spring Rd. Chambersburg, PA 17202.
