Jason Allen Green

Jason Allen Green, age 43, of Greencastle, PA, passed away on Friday, February 10, 2023, at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. Born in Waynesboro, PA on February 16, 1979, he was the son of Thomas E. “Tom” Green Sr. and Elizabeth “Betsy” R. Miller Green.

Jason was a 1997 graduate of the Greencastle-Antrim High School and a 2003 graduate of Shippensburg University. He worked in television for a number of years beginning at WJAL as traffic manager and WDVM in sales. Most recently he was employed at OSI in Chambersburg, PA as their Media and Marketing Manager. Jason was a member of Leadership of Franklin County, the Ambassadors Group, the Civitan of Chambersburg, where he was serving as President, the Cumberland Valley Business Alliance, VFW Post 6319, and a former board member for GABSA. Jason enjoyed watching the San Francisco 49’ers, Oakland A’s, and Chicago Bulls. He also enjoyed WWE wrestling, horror films, The Christmas Story, Yellowstone, the Foo Fighters, Volbeat, Barbequing in the back yard, Star Wars and “Old Home Week”, however he cherished time watching Dylan play sports.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife 10 years, Stephanie Pitsnogle Green, whom he married on June 23, 2012; his son, Dylan L. Green of Greencastle, PA; brother, Thomas E. Green, Jr. (wife Audra) of Chambersburg , PA; father in law, Alvey Pitsnogle, Jr.; nephew, Garet Green of Chambersburg, PA, best friends, J. Morgan and Dustin Bingaman; special friends, Krissy and Josh Hulyo; and his furry friends, Max, Echo, and Zeus; and  numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his best furry friend, Hogan.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2023, at 3 PM at the Harold M. Zimmerman and Son Funeral Home, Inc., 45 S. Carlisle St., Greencastle, PA 17225, where Pastor Reuban Egolf will officiate. The family will receive friends on Friday, February 17, 2023 from 6 – 9 PM at the above funeral home and address. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Antietam Humane Society, 8513 Lyons Rd., Waynesboro, PA 17268 or to GABSA, P.O. Box 125, Greencastle, PA 17225.
