James E. Crumrine

James E. “Jim” Crumrine, age 80, of Greencastle, PA, passed away on Wednesday, January 6, 2021, at his home. Born August 27, 1940, in Indiana, PA, he was the son of the late Earl Dunn and Hazel belle Jeffries Crumrine.

Jim was a graduate of the George Washington University with a degree in Business Management. He went on to Hotel Management, managing the Bavarian Inn and Venice Inn. As a second career, Jim worked as a Realtor, retiring in 2017. He enjoyed fishing, wood working, gardening, and yard work.

Surviving is his wife of 60 years, Elizabeth Louise “Betty” Barris Crumrine, whom he married on August 5, 1960; three children, Debbie Sprinkle (husband Greg) of Lewisberry, PA, Jim Crumrine (husband Bruce) of Linthicum Heights, MD, and Tim Crumrine (Kerry O’Brien) of Annapolis, MD; two grandchildren, Nicole Sprenkle-Reichard (husband Richard Reichard) and Scott Sprenkle (wife Devon); and six great-grandchildren.

Services and interment are private. Arrangements are entrusted to the Harold M. Zimmerman and Son Funeral Home, Greencastle, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, www.cancer.org.
