Jackson Lee Heister

Jackson Lee Heister, age 76, of Greencastle, PA died Monday December 21, 2020 in the Wellspan York Hospital, York, PA.

Born December 28, 1943 in Huntingdon, PA, he was the son of the late   Austin “Pete” and Mary “Bea” (Luther) Heister. He married his wife Lena (Dolt) Heister on January 9, 1965. 

Jackson was retired from the  phone company having worked for C& P Telephone Co.  and Verizon.. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, fishing and gardening. He had been a member of the Robertsdale Volunteer Fire Co. and a member of a Huniting Club  also in Robertsdale.

Surviving family in addition to his wife are his two daughters Melissa Cooke and Mareta Kauffman, nine grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren and a sister Carol Wright.   He was preceded in death by his son Philip M. Heister on January 23, 2020, one great-granddaughter and two brothers.
