Forrest Lynn Huffman

Forrest “Lynn” Huffman, 83, of Greencastle, PA passed away Wednesday, February 14, 2024 in his home.  Born April 17, 1940 in San Diego, CA he was the son of the late Richard Lee and Leota (Ewing) Huffman.

He was a graduate of Hagerstown North High School with the Class of 1959.  Following graduation Lynn served with the United States Air Force until his honorable discharge.  He was employed as a machinist at Mack Truck, Hagerstown.  He retired in 2000 with over 30 years with the company.  He was a member of the Harry D. Zeigler VFW Post 6319 and the American Legion Post 373 both in Greencastle.  Lynn enjoyed collecting clocks and telling jokes everywhere he went.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Phyllis (Peiffer) Huffman; two children, Tammy Felmlee and her husband Ron and Tim Huffman and his wife Rhonda both of Greencastle; two grandchildren, Laura Foy and Quinn Sellers; two siblings, Richard Huffman of Florida and Pat Monahan of Smithsburg, MD; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.  Arrangements are entrusted to the Harold M. Zimmerman and Son Funeral Home, Inc., Greencastle, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to American Cancer Society at www.donate.cancer.org or to the Alzheimer’s Association at www.alz.org.
