Esther L. Starliper

Esther L. Starliper, age 79, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away at her home on Friday, December 10, 2021. Born October 1, 1942, in Greencastle, PA, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Rhoda Brechbiel Wolford.

Mrs. Starliper was a homemaker for the last several years. She enjoyed reading, playing BINGO, going to casinos, and spending time with her family. She especially cherished time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Surviving is her husband of 62 years, Ronald Starliper, whom she married on December 20, 1958, three children, Rodney E. Starliper (wife Mary) of Chambersburg, PA, Kimberly Sheeder (husband Terry) of McConnellsburg, PA, and Sheilia Pingor (husband Robert) of Pittsburgh, PA; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Dorothy Schildt and Helen Starliper of Greencastle. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Douglas Starliper in 1980 and two brothers, Jacob and Joe Wolford.

Services and interment in Cedar Hill Cemetery will be private. Arrangements are entrusted to the Harold M. Zimmerman and Son Funeral Home, Inc., Greencastle, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to the American Cancer Society, www.cancer.org  or the charity of one’s choice.
