Doris Jean Lydic

Doris J. Lydic, age 76 of Greencastle, Pa died Sunday, September 13, 2020 in the Quincy Village Nursing Center.

Born August 23, 1944 in Burnt Cabins, PA, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Florence (Widener) McGowan. 

Doris had worked for the former Stanley Co. for 30 years and also worked at the former GS Electric Co.  both of Chambersburg. She was a graduate of Fannett Metal High School.

Doris was a member of the Waynesboro Seventh -Day Adventist Church. She was an avid bowler in her younger years and enjoyed doing different kinds of puzzles.

Surviving family are her husband of 55 years Norman E. Lydic; two sons, Anthony W. Lydic of Fayetteville, PA, Scott A. Lydic of Ft. Loudon, PA; 2 granddaughters, one grandson; two sisters, Mae Mann of Hustontown, PA , Connie Midda of Chambersburg, PA and one brother Warren McGowan of St. Thomas, PA.

A memorial service will be held Saturday October 3, 2020 at 6:00 PM  at the Waynesboro Seventh- Day Adventist Church 1 State Hill Rd. Waynesboro, PA with Pastor Preston Monterrey-Clark officiating. Memorial contributions in her memory may be made to the church. Arrangements were by the Harold M. Zimmerman And Son Funeral Home of Greencastle.
