Donna Jean (Bonebreak) Widder

Donna “Jean” Widder, age 55, of Waynesboro, PA, passed away at her home, with her family by her side on Tuesday, November 22, 2022, after a 7 year battle with ovarian cancer. Born in Salisbury, NC on June 17, 1967, she was the daughter of Rev. John D. and Audrey Smith Bonebreak.

A 1985 graduate of Newport High School, Jean went on to earn her bachelor’s degree in 1989 in Fashion Merchandising from the University of Louisiana-Monroe. Jean was a former store manager for Victoria’s Secret and B. Moss Clothing. She also served as a District Manager for Christopher and Banks. Jean was the former owner of Stone Meadow Alpacas from 2005 – 2015 and was a founding partner of Blue Mountain Transportation, since 2010. She was an active member of the Greencastle Presbyterian Church. During her 7 year battle with ovarian cancer, Jean led several fundraising and education events to support the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition.

In addition to her parents, Jean is survived by her husband of 24 years, Mark Widder; two daughters, Paige and Ashley Widder, and two siblings, Lisa Booze of Greencastle, PA and John S. Bonebreak of Windsor Mills, MD.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 3, 2022, at 1 PM at the Greencastle Presbyterian Church, 57 W. Baltimore St., Greencastle, PA 17225, where Pastors Dr. A. Robert Cook and Mathew Widder will officiate. The family will receive friends on Friday, December 2 from 5 – 8 PM at the above church and address. Interment will follow the service on Saturday in Brown’s Mill Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Jean’s name to the National Ovarian Coalition www.ovarian.org.  Arrangements are entrusted to the Harold M. Zimmerman and Son Funeral Home, Inc., Greencastle, PA.
