Donna K. Barnhart

Donna K. “Yonny” Barnhart, 67, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, September 3, 2021 at the Chambersburg Hospital. Born January 23, 1954 in Waynesboro, she was the daughter of the late Robert F. Barnhart, Sr. and Rhoda L. (Burcker) Barnhart.

Donna was a 1972 graduate of Greencastle-Antrim High School. She was employed as a seamstress for many years and recently as a custodian at the Greencastle-Antrim School District. She retired from the Greencastle School District in 2013, after 25 years of service. Donna had a joy for life, she enjoyed crafting, computer games, bird watching, cooking , and baking. But most of all she loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by five siblings, Nancy L. Burkett of Waynesboro, Robert F. Barnhart, Jr. (Mindy Carson) of Greencastle, Roger L. Barnhart (Sharon) of Quincy, Lennis E. Barnhart (Ruth) of Waynesboro, and Perry L. Barnhart of Greencastle; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Memorial services will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, September 13, 2021, at the Harold M. Zimmerman and Son Funeral Home,  45 S. Carlisle Street, Greencastle PA. Rev. Christy Stouffer will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Monday at the funeral home.
