Dennis Irvin Everts

Dennis Irvin Everts, age 67, of Mercersburg, PA, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 12, 2020 at the Paramount Senior Living Center in Fayetteville, PA following complications from a year’s  long illness.

Born October 5, 1952 in Hagerstown, MD, he was the son of the late Robert R. and Rosalie (Gordon) Everts. He married his wife Debra E. (Murray) Everts on July 30, 1971.

Denny worked in construction and building product sales, having worked last for BlueLinx of Frederick, MD, retiring in May of 2019.

He was a 1970 graduate of Greencastle-Antrim High School. He was a social member of the Greencastle V.F.W. Denny enjoyed wood working, doing house projects around his home, spending time with his family and attending family gatherings.

Surviving family in addition to his wife are two sons, Dwyane Everts and wife Brandy of Huntersville, NC, Douglas Everts and wife Casey of  New Brockton, AL; mother -in-law, Louella Murray, Quincy Village; five granddaughters, Daelynn and husband Kendall, Lizzie, Ella, Kayla, Jensen; one great-granddaughter,  Keadance; one brother, Robert Everts and wife Neva of State Line, PA; five sisters-in-law, Nancy Bumbaugh of Mont Alto, PA, Lana Jones and husband Tom of Amberson, PA, Pam Stockslager and husband Mike of Greencastle, PA, Pat Mendez and husband Juan of Ft. Loudon, PA, Nina Reisinger of Chambersburg, PA; two brother-in-laws, Dale Murray and wife Debbie of St. Thomas, PA and David Murray and wife Bonnie of Chambersburg, PA and number of nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be announced by the family at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to The ALS Association, Western Pennsylvania Chapter
