Calvin H. “Cal” Hausenfluck, age 95, of Greencastle, PA passed away on Friday, December 31, 2021, at Menno Haven Rehab Center. Born October 30, 1926, in Washington, D.C., he was the son of the late John H. and Elsie Click Hausenfluck.
A U.S. Navy veteran, he served honorably during WWII. Mr. Hausenfluck worked for the FBI in Washington, D.C. for a couple years, he then moved on the working for Sunshine Biscuits, Inc. in Washington D.C. and Altoona, PA, where he dedicated 34 years as a District Sales Manager, retiring in 1990. He was a member of the Greencastle Church of the Brethren, where he served on the church board, Stewart and Witness Commission, as a Church Trustee, and Usher. He was also a member of the Greencastle Senior Center, Lions Club, and American Legion. He enjoyed reading, gardening, and being around people; Cal was a “social butterfly”.
He is survived by a step-son, Michael A. Mitchell of Broad Run, VA; three grandchildren, Mary Ann Mogavero, Amanda Mae Mitchell, and Michael Mitchell; five great-grandchildren, a his special friend, Pat Carbaugh and his cat, Princess.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 7, 2022, at 11 AM, at Greencastle Church of the Brethren, 36 S. Carlisle St., Greencastle, PA 17225, where Pastor Fred Keener will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the above church and address. Interment will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to the Harold M.
