Beverly Ann (Binkley) Rice

Beverly Ann Rice, age 73 of Greencastle, PA, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, June 22, 2022, at her home with her family at her side. Born July 3, 1948, in Waynesboro, PA, she was the daughter of the late Paul Leroy and Leah Dorothy Glass Binkley.

Mrs. Rice was 1966 graduate of the Greencastle-Antrim High School. She went on to work for Graphics Universal for 50 years, starting in 1970. Mrs. Rice was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Temple, in Hagerstown, MD, the PA Equine Council, and the Gettysburg Equestrian Historical Society. Beverly enjoyed flowers and gardening, spending quality time with her family and of course, her horses.

Surviving is her husband of 55 years, David Rice. Sr., whom she married on July 2, 1966, three children, David Rice, Jr. (Angela) of Greencastle, PA, Paul Rice (Andrea) of Chambersburg, PA, and Chris Ann Graham (Randy Lee) of McConnellsburg, PA; ten grandchildren, Tanner Bain, Kindal Rice, Cody Starliper, Jordan Miller, Tristyn Rice, Brysen Rice, Shawna Walter, Tyler Graham, Miranda Pugh, and Rece Pugh; eight great-grandchildren;  a sister, Esther Freeman of Toms Town, PA; and sister-in-law, Betty Binkley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two siblings, Pam Binkley and James “Jake” Binkley.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, June 28, 2022, at 1 PM at Emmanuel Baptist Temple, 16221 National Pike, Hagerstown, MD 21740, where Pastors Jeff Messer and Ed Hampton will officiate. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service at the above church and address. Interment will follow the service in Cedar Hill Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to the Harold M. Zimmerman and Son Funeral Home, Inc., Greencastle, PA.
