Barbara A. (Stumbaugh) Anderson, age 76 of Greencastle, PA died at 4:45 PM on Monday September 3, 2018 at ManorCare Health Services in Chambersburg surrounded by her loving family.

Born September 11, 1941 in Greencastle, PA, she was the daughter of the late Charles E. and  Florene C. (Hawbaker) Stumbaugh. She married her husband Rollie C. Anderson on April 28, 1961.

Barb was a homemaker and was a member of the Otterbein United Brethren Church. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, cooking and sewing. She was a 1959 graduate of Greencastle High School.

Surviving family in addition to her husband of 57 years are one son Rodney Anderson and his wife Tina of Greencastle; one daughter, Gretchen Horst and husband Dale E. of Mercersburg; three grandchildren, Logan Horst and fiancée Lacey Harbaugh, Lauren Heckman and husband Michael and Andy Anderson and fiancée Michelle Robinson; two sisters, Frances L. Davis of Chambersburg and Julia C. King of Florida.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother Harold E. Stumbaugh in 2006.

A graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family at the Fairview Cemetery in Mercersburg with Pastor David Rawley officiating. There will be no public viewing but the family will receive friends on Sunday evening September 9 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at the Harold M. Zimmerman And Son Funeral Home 45 S. Carlisle St. Greencastle. Memorial contributions may be given in her memory to the Otterbein United Brethren Church Building Fund 146 Leitersburg St. Greencastle, PA 17225.
