Alan L. Meyers

Alan L. Meyers, age 59, of Greencastle, PA, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Sunday, February 4, 2024. Born in Chambersburg, PA on August 7, 1964, he was the son of the late Mark Meyers and Lyndell Myers Meyers.

Alan was a 1982 graduate of Greencastle-Antrim Senior High School. Alan worked as  a dairy farmer until 2005 and was currently a crop farmer. Alan was a long-time member of the Antrim Brethren in Christ Church and Williamson Ruritan Club. An avid outdoorsman, Alan enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, riding motorcycles, barbequing, and beekeeping; however his most cherished time was spent with his family, especially with those that called him “Pap”.

Surviving is his wife of 39 years, Kendra Eberly Meyers; three children, Ashley Meyers Martin (husband Ryan) of Greencastle, PA, Whitney Meyers Eyer (husband Zachary) of Spring Run, PA, and Grant Meyers (wife Jen) of Springfield, PA; four grandchildren, Riley Martin, Easton Martin, Grayson Eyer, and Tyler Meyers; and three siblings, Carolyn George (husband Travis) of Greencastle, PA, Ivan Meyers (wife Mishele) of Greencastle, PA, and Beth Halsey (husband Adam) of Water Mill, NY.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 13, 2024, at 10 AM in the Antrim Brethren in Christ Church, 24 Kauffman Rd. East, Chambersburg, PA 17202, where Pastor Casey Hurst will officiate. The family will receive friends at the above church on Monday, February 12, 2024, from 5 – 9 PM and on Tuesday one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow the service in Browns Mill Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to the Harold M. Zimmerman and Son Funeral Home, Inc., Greencastle, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions maybe made in his name to Convicted by Christ, P.O. Box 1032, Bloomfield, NM 87413.
