Richard Stouffer Miller

Richard Stouffer Miller, 79, of Mercersburg, PA passed away on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at Shippensburg Rehabilitation Center in Shippensburg, PA. He was born on July 10, 1946, to the late Joseph Truman and Mabel Belle (Stouffer) Miller.

Richard was a 1966 Graduate of James Buchanan High School in Mercersburg, PA and then worked on his family’s dairy farms through his adult life. He attended Montgomery Brethren in Christ and Two Top Fellowship. He was a lifelong member of the Pennsylvania Farmers Association and a member of the Mason Dixon Corvette Club. He was a John Deere Tractor and Corvette enthusiast and enjoyed woodworking and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Fern (Hess) Miller of Mercersburg, PA, whom he married on November 25, 1967; daughter Trudy Eckstine (Rich) of Mercersburg, PA; son Rodney Miller of Mercersburg, PA; granddaughters Kaitlyn Sigler (Mike) of Greencastle, PA; Chelsea Sanders (Dillon) of Mercersburg, PA; Kiana Rinehart (Brad) of Middletown, MD; great grandchildren Colton, Ashton, and Grayson; sister Darlene Ball of Maugansville, MD. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother J. Donald Miller and sister Mary Louise Spangler.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 13, 2026, at 10:00 AM at Harold M. Zimmerman & Son Funeral Home 45 S. Carlisle Street, Greencastle, PA, where Pastor Ronald Martin will officiate. The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 12, 2026, from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM and one hour prior to the service on Monday, from 9:00 AM – 10:00 AM the funeral home above.
