Patricia M. Wiestling, age 83, of Greencastle, PA passed away at Chambersburg Hospital on Monday, August 4, 2025. Born March 22, 1942, in Chambersburg, PA, she was the daughter of the late Howard A. “Taffy” and A. Lucille Casseday Martin.
Mrs. Wiestling was a 1960 graduate of CASHS, where she was the Class President. She worked in banking, beginning at the former Valley Bank and after 40 years, retiring in 2003, from M&T Bank. She was a former member of the First United Methodist Church in Chambersburg. A very sociable person, she seemed to never meet a stranger and always seemed to know someone no matter where she went. Mrs. Wiestling was very dedicated to planning class reunions, lunches, and class gatherings. She enjoyed completing puzzles, watching sports, attending her grandchildren and great-grandchildren’s sporting events, socializing, and spending time with family and friends.
Surviving are three children, Wendy Main (husband Doug) of Greencastle, PA, Troy Wiestling (wife Deb) of Camp Hill, PA, and Chad Wiestling (Jen Fedeli) of Baltimore, MD; daughter-in-law, Holly Wiestling of Greencastle, PA; seven grandchildren, Adam Wiestling (wife Kelli), Brittany Doyle (husband Cody), Evon Wiestling (wife Andrea), Corey Main (wife Andrea), and Patrick, Daniel, and Elizabeth Wiestling; and six great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Terry L. Wiestling on July 27, 1992; a son, Sidney “Sid” Wiestling on April 7, 2022; her beloved cat, Tanner; and her grand dog, Thumper.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 9, 2025, at 11 AM in the Harold M. Zimmerman and Son Funeral Home, Inc., 45 S. Carlisle St., Greencastle, PA, where Rev. David Rawley will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home and address above. Interment will be private in Cedar Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to the CASHS Class of 1960, c/o Sandra Crawford, 234 Sunbrook Dr., Chambersburg, PA 17201 or to the American Heart Association at www.heart.org.
