Mary Janet (Kendle) Spalding

Mary Janet Spalding, age 90, of Greencastle, PA, passed away unexpectedly in her home on Monday, January 2, 2023. Born November 26, 1932, in Greencastle, PA, she was the daughter of the late Albert Ellsworth and Mary Kuhn Kendle.

Janet was the former proprietor of the Nearly New Shop. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, and solving crossword puzzles.

Surviving are two children, Charles T. Spalding, Jr. of Greencastle, PA and Rhonda L. Christman (husband Kevin) of Chambersburg, PA; six grandchildren, Andy Fetterhoff, Ashely

Meredith, Dean, Kolby, Jana, and Nathan Christman; eight great-grandchildren, and seven siblings. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles T. Spalding, Sr. in 2012, a daughter, Sandra Jean Spalding in 2014, eight siblings, and one great-grandchild.

Services and interment will be private. Arrangements are entrusted to the Harold M. Zimmerman and Son Funeral Home, Inc., Greencastle, PA.
