Lewanna Vae McDonald

Lewanna Vae McDonald, age 92, of Williamsport, MD, passed away on Friday, September 11, 2026, at Homewood of Williamsport. Born April 12, 1934, in Weston, WV, she was the daughter of the late William James and Hattie Johnson Stalnaker.

Mrs. McDonald was a 1952 graduate of Weston High School. She worked as a teacher’s aide for 20 + years. She was a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Greencastle, where she served in many capacities. She was also a part of Relay for Life and Friends of the Library. Mrs. McDonald enjoyed reading and gardening in her spare time.

Surviving are two children, Kelly Paris (Louis) and Matthew McDonald (Elizabeth); three grandchildren, James, William, and Brandon; and three great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd T. McDonald, Jr. in 2009 and five siblings, Pauline Wellings, Robert “Bob” Stalnaker, Helen Fleagle, Mary Hunt, and Patricia Fender.

The family will receive friends for a visitation on Thursday, September 17, 2026, from 11 AM until 12 PM in the Harold M. Zimmerman and Son Funeral Home, Inc., 45 S. Carlisle St., Greencastle, PA 17225. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Lilian S. Besore Memorial Library at 305 E.
