Larry Scott “Shorty” Davis, 70, of Shady Grove, passed away on January 2, 2026. Born May 26, 1955, he was the son of the late Carl M. and Alma Louise (Cordell) Davis.
Shorty graduated from Greencastle-Antrim High School with the class of 1974 and started his career with Greencastle Metal Works. He ended his career with Fab Tech Industries when he retired in October 2020. Shorty was a member of Marion Volunteer Fire Company and a former member of Pleasant Hill United Brethren Church. He was most recently attending Greencastle Otterbein United Brethren Church. He enjoyed spending time with his family, John Deere tractors and was a fan of the Baltimore Orioles.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Roberta Lynn (Stepler) Davis and his daughter, Ann L. “Annie” Davis, both of Shady Grove; four brothers, Ronald L. (Lori) Davis of Paw Paw, WV, Gary E. (Carol) Davis of Franklin, WV, and Randy L. (Tinna) Davis, and Tommie R. Davis, both of Greencastle; one sister Karen M. (Douglas) Miller of Greencastle; and brother-in-law Kenneth G. Shew of Greencastle, and many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sister, Sharon K. Shew.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at the Harold M. Zimmerman and Son Funeral Home 45 S. Carlisle St., Greencastle, PA 17225. Pastor David Rawley and Pastor Les Kauffman will officiate. Interment will follow the service in Browns Mill Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Marion Volunteer Fire Company, 5465 Molly Pitcher Highway S., Chambersburg, PA 17202.
