Jean M. Stouffer

Jean M. Stouffer, age 91, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at Brookview Nursing Center at Menno Haven. Born December 22, 1934, in St. Thomas, PA, she was the daughter of the late Omar F. and Ethel Niswander Statler.

Mrs. Stouffer was 1952 graduate of St. Thomas High School. Following graduation, she worked at the former Stanley Company for three years, until she married. After raising her children, Mrs. Stouffer worked at the former Williams Clothing and Uptown Sales in Chambersburg. She enjoyed completing puzzles, reading, Suduko, and playing cards; however, her most cherished time was spent with her family.

Surviving are three children, Tony Stouffer (wife Donna), Wanda Thornton (husband Paul), and Michael Stouffer (wife Kelli) all of Chambersburg, PA; six grandchildren, Stacia Zahos (husband Demetrios), Toby Stouffer (wife Heather), Susan Oyola (husband Jose), David Thornton (wife Kristen), Austin Stouffer (wife Molly), and Shelby Amadon (husband Patrick); nine great-grandchildren, Elena Zahos, Anthony and Nicholas Catalfamo, August and Serafina Oyola, Addison and Breanna Amadon, and Sloane Stouffer; and two sisters, Kay Mentzer and Darlene Meyers. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Stouffer in 2001 and a sister, Joanne Fox.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 5, 2026, at 11 AM in the Harold M. Zimmerman and Son Funeral Home, Inc., 45 S. Carlisle St., Greencastle, PA, where Chaplain Keith Elliott will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the funeral home. Interment will follow the service in Cedar Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to the American Heart Association at www.heart.org.
