Doris E. Clemons

Doris E. “Dodie” Clemons, age 81, of McConnellsburg, PA, passed away on Monday, May 4, 2026, at her home. Born August 17, 1944, in Chambersburg, PA, she was the daughter of the late Norman E. and Cora M. Rice Trace.

Mrs. Clemons worked in banking for many years. She enjoyed caring for hummingbirds, sewing, and traveling with her late husband.

She is survived by a daughter, Renatea Gaumer (Kenny) of Bumpass, VA; grandson, Cody Girouard (Felicia) of VA; one great- granddaughter; and a brother, David Rice, Sr. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Clemons in 2009 and a sister, Ora Hopper.

Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, at 1 PM at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Greencastle, PA, where Pastor Tim York will officiate. Arrangements are entrusted to the Harold M. Zimmerman and son Funeral Home, Inc., Greencastle, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to Calvary Independent Baptist Church, 140 McGoverns Ln, McConnellsburg, PA 17233.
