Dale E. Hager

Dale E. Hager, 70, of Greencastle, PA, passed away on Friday, January 16, 2026, at his home after a brief illness. He was born on April 2, 1955, in Waynesboro, PA to the late O. Eugene and Helen Catherine (Carbaugh) Hager.

Dale was a commercial plumber for James Craft and Son until his retirement. He had roots at Montgomery Brethren in Christ Church in Mercersburg, PA. In his early years, he enjoyed working on his family’s farm. Dale loved being outdoors, hunting, fishing, gardening, and raising his chickens. He was also an avid Penn State football fan and loved spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Barbara Hager of Greencastle, PA; daughter Regina Faith and her husband Scott of Hagerstown, MD; son Adam Hager of Chambersburg, PA; Grandchildren Destiny, Austin, Hunter, Morgan, Shain, Izabelle, Lyllian, and Alexander; 5 great grandchildren; sister Jane Rice and her husband Richard of Greencastle, PA; nieces Amanda and Emily; 1 great niece. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his daughter Melissa Helm.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, at Montgomery Brethren in Christ Church, 6727 Montgomery Church Road, Mercersburg, PA 17236, where Rev. Raymond Martin will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at the church above. Interment will follow the service in Montgomery Brethren in Christ Church Cemetery.
