Saundra D. "Sandy" (Provard) Izer

 Saundra D. “Sandy” (Provard) Izer, age 72, of West Milnor Rd. Greencastle, PA died at 3:02 PM Saturday, June 10, 2017 in the Chambersburg Hospital. She had been in declining health since January.

Born October 18, 1944 in Waynesboro, PA, she was the daughter of Constance (Johns) Provard of Waynesboro and the late Jerry Provard. She married her husband Kenneth E. Izer on May 11 1963 in Hagerstown.

Sandy was a homemaker and enjoyed being with her family and grandchildren and having family dinners for every occasion and for no reason at all.

She was a member of the Grace Baptist Church of Waynesboro where she served 30 years in the church nursery and helped with the summer Bible School; Sandy was a member of the Greencastle TOPS for many years. She was a 1962 graduate of Greencastle-Antrim High School.

Surviving family in addition to her husband and mother are three sons, DeWayne K. Izer and wife Teresa, Shane K. Izer and wife Melissa, all of Greencastle, Terry K. Izer and wife Aimee of Hagerstown, one daughter Brenda Harp and husband Todd of Greencastle, 13 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and one sister Lana Provard  of Waynesboro.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a brother Jerry Provard in 2003 and a great-grandson Axel Matthew Harp in 2015.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 16 at 10:00 AM at the Harold M. Zimmerman And Son Funeral Home 45 S. Carlisle St. Greencastle with Pastor John Scahill officiating. Burial will be in the Cedar Hill Cemetery Greencastle. There will be no public viewing but the family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 5:00 – 8:00 PM.
