Patricia Grace DuBois

Patricia Grace DuBois, age 85, of Boca Raton, FL and formerly of Greencastle, PA, passed away on Friday, June 7, 2019, at her home in Florida with her family by her side. Born December 2, 1933, in Franklin County, PA she was the daughter of the late Maurice and Annie Kuhn Lowans.

A homemaker most of her adult life, Mrs. DuBois enjoyed caring for and spending time with her family. She enjoyed playing cards, cooking, sewing, gardening, singing, and dancing. She also enjoyed travelling along with her husband and family during his career as a Marine.

She married her soulmate of 68 years, Laurier W. N. DuBois on February 13, 1951; together they had six children, Dutch DuBois of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Edward DuBois (wife Barbara) of WA, Barry DuBois (wife Susan) of Carmel, IN, Patricia DuBois-Harding (Partner Gary Duckworth) of Fredericksburg, VA, Annette DuBois of Fredericksburg, VA, and Michelle DuBois (husband Patrick Gallagher) of Haymarket, VA; thirteen grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and three siblings,  Betty Johns of Fayetteville, PA, Shirley Shatzer of Greencastle, PA , and Joyce Black (husband Larry) of Oreana,  IL. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four siblings.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Thursday, June 13, 2019, at 11 AM at St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church, 385 S. Ridge Ave., Greencastle, PA 17225, where Rev. Fr.  Kyle Sahd will celebrate. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 12, 2019, from 1-3 and 5-7 PM at the Harold M. Zimmerman and Son Funeral Home, 45 South Carlisle St., Greencastle, PA 17225. Interment will follow the Mass in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
