Geraldine M. Etter

Geraldine M. (Elliott) Etter, age 95 of State Line, PA died at 4:30 PM Thursday, April 20, 2017 in the Chambersburg Hospital.

Born September 3, 1921 in Montgomery Twp. Franklin County, PA, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Dorothy (Meyers) Elliott. Her husband Anson Etter Sr. died May 15, 1977.

Geraldine worked at the former Mercersburg Garment Mfg. and E.J. Fennel Garment Mfg. of Hagerstown.

She was a member of the Greencastle Church of the Brethren where she had taught Sunday School. She enjoyed tending to her flowers and crocheting

Surviving family are one daughter Delores Burkhart of Chambersburg, one son Charles Etter of Dover, DE, three grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son Anson Etter Jr. in 2015, two brothers, Carl Elliott and Lynn Elliott, a granddaughter Karen Ludwig and a grandson Troy Douglas Etter.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 26 at 11:00 AM at the Greencastle Church of the Brethren 36 S. Carlisle St. Greencastle with Rev. Leon Yoder officiating. Burial will be in the Welsh Run Church of the Brethren Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Harold M. Zimmerman And Son Funeral Home 45 S. Carlisle St. Greencastle on Tuesday evening from 6:00 – 7:30 PM and at the church one hour before the service on Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given in her memory to the Greencastle Church of the Brethren. Online condolences may be expressed at www.zimmermanfh.com
