Alfred R. Brown

Alfred Richard Brown, age 92 of Greencastle, PA passed away early Tuesday morning May 30, 2017 in his home.
Alfred was born February 11, 1925 in Grafton, WV to the late John and Ada (Jackson) Brown.

He was married to his true love Detta (Glover) Brown on September 6, 1947 and he spent a wonderful 56 years with her.  

He retired from Letterkenny Army Depot in Chambersburg, PA and was a World War II Veteran of the U.S. Army
He truly loved fishing, hunting and camping with his family.

He was preceded in death by his wife Detta L. Brown in 2004 and his son Alfred D. Brown in 1973.

He is survived by his two daughters Tina Warfield, Sherry and her husband Denny Brechbiel,
grandchildren, Jay Brechbiel, Brandt Brechbiel, Andrew Brown, Amy Kreitz, Gregory Warfield and Mathew Warfield along with many great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, and a brother Robert Brown.

Funeral services will be held on Friday June 2 at 1:00 PM at the Harold M. Zimmerman & Son Funeral Home 45 S. Carlisle St. Greencastle with Pastor David G. Rawley officiating. Interment will follow the service at the Parklawns Memorial Gardens in Chambersburg. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 12:00 noon till 1:00 PM.
