Ralph Henry Carbaugh, age 80, of Clay Hill Rd. Chambersburg, PA died early Saturday morning August 5, 2017 in his home.

Born May 6, 1937 in Welsh Run, PA, he was the son of the late Earl Sylvester and Mary Jane (Sampson) Carbaugh. He married his wife P. Faye (Lenherr) Carbaugh on August 25, 1961.

He retired after 32 ½ years of employment at Grove Worldwide (Manitowoc Crane) in Shady Grove and also worked for 11 years at the former Young Upholstery in Chambersburg.

Ralph enjoyed watching baseball and was an avid Baltimore Orioles fan. He enjoyed spending time with his family and sitting out on his front porch of his home.

Surviving family in addition to his wife are two sons Jeffrey Carbaugh Sr. of Chambersburg, Edward Carbaugh and his wife Rhonda of Greencastle, two daughters, Linda McGarrigle and her husband Bill of South Carolina, Barbara Martin and her husband Timothy of Greencastle, seven grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, five brothers, David Carbaugh and wife Charlotte of Fayetteville, PA, Eugene Carbaugh and wife Carol of Greencastle, Harold “Buck” Carbaugh and wife  Donna of Chambersburg, Guy Carbaugh and wife Dorothy of Chambersburg, Richard Carbaugh and wife Deb of Greencastle, one sister, Earlene Short of Shippensburg and one sister-in-law Donna Carbaugh of Chambersburg.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant brother Elwood Carbaugh, brothers, Paul Sylvester Carbaugh, Harry Lee Carbaugh, Kenneth Ray Carbaugh, Frank E. Carbaugh and a sister Edna L. Evitts.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday August 10 at 10:00 AM at the Harold M. Zimmerman And Son Funeral Home 45 S. Carlisle St. Greencastle with Rev. Henry Barthalow officiating. Burial will be in the Parklawns Memorial Gardens in Chambersburg. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 PM.
