Naomi Viola Myers, age 88 of Greencastle, PA died at 10:45 AM Saturday, August 13, 2016 in Menno Haven of Chambersburg where she had resided for the past year and a half.

Born October 5, 1927 in Rouzerville, PA, she was the daughter of the late Isaac Newton and Leila R. (Morganthal) Hurd. She married Donald Eugene Myers on September 14, 1946 in Hagerstown. She had worked for the former Heinz Co. and Stanley Co. both of Chambersburg. Her hobbies included painting, going to Pen Mar Park, reminiscing about the past and walking and hiking in the mountains around Mont Alto.

Surviving family in addition to her husband of nearly 70 years are two sons, Donald L. Myers and wife Diane of Shady Grove, David E. Myers and wife Sue of Greencastle, five grandchildren, Anthony Myers, Donna Myers, Vernon Myers, Deborah Myers, Daniel Myers, five great-grandchildren, one sister, Lanora Boden of Eugene Oregon, one brother Richard Hurd of Waynesboro and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister Evelyn L. Rowe and a brother Cletus L. Hurd.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday August 17 at 11:00 AM at the Harold M. Zimmerman And Son Funeral Home 45 S. Carlisle St.  Greencastle with her son the Rev. Donald L. Myers officiating. Burial will be in the Mount Zion Cemetery in Quincy. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour before the service on Wednesday.
