Lucille M. Carson

Lucille Mae (Pine) Carson, age 61 of Worleytown Rd. Greencastle, PA died Saturday evening January 7, 2017 in the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore, MD.

Born November 8, 1955 in Chambersburg, PA, she was the daughter of the late Leroy and Gaynella (Smith) Pine. She married David R. Carson on July 1, 1978.

Lucille had worked as a Geriatric Nursing Assistant at Julia Manor and the former Avalon Manor Nursing Home both of Hagerstown. She graduated from James Buchanan High School in Mercersburg.

She last attended the Greencastle Baptist Church and she enjoyed collecting musical carousels, going to antique shops and flea markets. She loved all her pets, going to the beach and being with family and friends. She will be greatly missed by all the kids she treated as her own.

Surviving family in addition to her husband are one daughter Kendra R. Carson, at home, one brother Leroy N. Pine II of Mercersburg, sister-in-law, Dena M. Carson of Chambersburg and a niece and a nephew.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother. a sister and a nephew.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday January 14 at 11:00 AM at the Macedonia United Brethren Church 11887 Worleytown Rd. Greencastle with Pastor Milton Herrold Jr. officiating. Burial will follow the service in the adjoining church cemetery. There will be no viewing. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the American Cancer Society 924 N- Colonial Ave. York, PA 17403 or to SpiriTrust Lutheran Home Care And Hospice 2700 Luther Dr. Chambersburg, PA 17202.
