My condolences to Henry and all the siblings on Aunt Lois's death. She was a remarkable lady and one of my favorite persons. A warm and sweet spirit, with a sense of humor, always brought smiles to others. She faithfully and regularly visited my mother after my Dad died and mother looked forward to those visits.

My sympathies and prayers to the family. I always enjoyed having Lois volunteer her time with quilting at World Treasures (Pennsylvania Avenue store) during my time as the store manager. She was a delight to be around and always willing to help in any way she could. Her smile lit up as she shared tips with me to improve my quilting stitches and I will always remember her patience.

Lois Martin Eshleman was a dear lady. Every memory of Mrs. Martin, as I knew her, is accompanied by a smile. Christianity was a verb for her. She lived with a kind, loving, accepting manner. She remains for me a treasured part of my childhood. Love and prayers for her loved ones.

I will be seeing our Heavenly Father and our Saviour, Jesus the Christ because of this wonderful, beautiful woman in my life. I had accepted Christ when young (my aunt Lois Hann had helped me when about age 11 and I fell away as I got older) but life was rough for me at age 28. I had just lost a grandmother, a dear elderly friend, a brother in law and my mother in just a couple of months.
Lois and Russell visited me and invited me back to Bethel Mennonite where I had gone before as a teen. One night at a revival I heard a voice inside me tell me it was too late for me. I was crying softly and looked up and Lois who sat in front of me was looking at me. She looked at me and said "It's not too late to go up" which shocked me. How did she know the voice told me that? She went up with me as I knelt before God and Christ and I felt a feeling like none other. For many years she was there for me when I had any problem or questions.
I will always be grateful for Lois being in my life. She and Russell helped my mother, my father, my brother and even helped my husband Vic's grandmother around 45 yrs ago!!!!!!
She has helped so many people because she lived what she talked and she never talked bad.

I will remember Lois as a kind and happy neighbor. She always had a friendly "hello" and a wave for me and always invited me and my puppy to come in and visit. I will remember her childhood stories and songs she would sing while I visited with her and Henry. Lois will be greatly missed by me and Mya. My Prayers are with Henry and the family. - Love Venita and Mya
