Lester A. Musselman

Lester A. Musselman, age 92, of Chambersburg, PA and formerly of Greencastle, passed away at 4:27 PM Monday, January 8, 2018 in the Shook Home in Chambersburg.

Born June 24, 1925 in Greencastle, PA, he was the son of the late Paul and Minerva (Kriner) Musselman. He married his wife Jenevieve W. (Zeger) Musselman on May 15, 1949. She died on April 10, 2011

Lester and his wife operated a dairy farm for 39 years on Milnor Road Greencastle. He was a member of the Ebenezer “Guitners” United Brethren Church near Greencastle.

Lester was a veteran of World War II, serving in the US Army Air Corps. He graduated from the former Lemasters High School where he was the valedictorian of his class. He served on the PFA Green Acres Advisory Council and on the Franklin County Planning and Zoning Board.  He also served on the Antrim Township Planning and Zoning Board for 40 years and was a past president of the board.

He enjoyed reading, water skiing, traveling and listening to classical music.

Surviving family are one son, Thomas and wife Valerie Musselman of Plymouth, MI,  two daughters, Anna Lee and husband David Kopp of Greencastle, PA, Nancy Linn of Gettysburg, PA, four grandsons, two granddaughters, four great-grandchildren  and several  nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a son Dr. Terry Musselman and one brother Homer Musselman.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 12 at 11:00 AM at the Ebenezer "Guitners" United Brethren Church 3661 Williamson Rd. Greencastle with Pastors David Grove and Richard Mose officiating. Burial will be in the Browns Mill Cemetery Kauffman. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 6 - 8 P.M. at the Harold M. Zimmerman And Son Funeral Home 45 S. Carlisle St. Greencastle and at the church one hour before the service on Friday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Ebenezer United Brethren Church 3661 Williamson Rd.
