Helen L. Wildeson

Helen L. (Plum) Wildeson, age 94, a resident of the Falling Spring Nursing And Rehabilitation Center in Chambersburg and who formerly resided with Marvin and Linda Long of Greencastle died at 8:10 PM Thursday, April 20, 2017 in the nursing home.

Born October 13, 1922 in Antrim Twp., Franklin County, PA, she was the daughter of the late Samuel C. and Fannie Belle (Gearhart) Plum.

Helen worked for 44 years at the former Stanley Co. of Chambersburg and last worked at the Long’s Poultry Farm near Greencastle. She was a lifelong member of the Hades Church of the Brethren near Waynesboro. She enjoyed traveling and sewing. Her husband Kenneth P. Wildeson died in 2005.

Surviving family are four step-children, Edna Mae Musselman of Greencastle, Ada R. Strite and Fay M. Alleman, both of Chambersburg, Harold E. Wildeson of Chambersburg, number of step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, Clifford, Ira and Henry Plum and one sister Frances M. Wagaman.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday April 27 at 11:00 AM at the Hades Church of the Brethren  near Waynesboro, PA with Ministers George Martin, Donald Clapper and Jim Strite  officiating. Burial will be in the Antietam (Prices) Cemetery near Waynesboro. The family will receive friends at the church one hour before the service on Thursday. Arrangements were handled by the Harold M. Zimmerman And Son Funeral Home of Greencastle.
