Gary W. Johnson

Gary W. Johnson, age 64 of Greencastle, PA died Sunday afternoon February 25, 2018 in the Broadmore Senior Living Center in Hagerstown, MD.

Born April 24, 1953 in Berkeley Springs, West Virginia, he was the son of Mabel Pauline (McFadden) Johnson of Greencastle and the late Richard E. Johnson.

Gary was a truck driver for 35 years having driven for various local trucking companies. He graduated in 1971 from the James Buchanan High School in Mercersburg.

Gary had been a long time member of The Williamsport Red Men Tribe 84, Williamsport, MD. He enjoyed bowling in his younger years, watching classic movies and older television shows especially westerns.

In addition to his mother, surviving family are his wife Joyce E. (Stewart) Johnson of Greencastle, two sons, Dwayne Johnson and wife Jennifer of Greencastle, Gregory Johnson of Hagerstown, MD, six grandchildren, Andrew, Jaidon, Cody, Abigail, Breana, Emma, one brother Richard L. Johnson of Greencastle, one sister Vicki Johnson of Chambersburg and one nephew Corey Johnson.

A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given in his memory to the Hospice of Washington County 747 Northern Ave. Hagerstown, MD 21742 or to Grace Bible Church 2327 Hoffman Rd.
